With ILMS, inventory can be kept at an optimal level and thus reduce inventory carrying cost while maintaining an appropriate level of part availability to ensure vessel operatibility.

Maintenance is transformed from reactive to preventive, maximizing asset usability and availability.

Individual vessels can maintain accurate on-board records of their inventory and maintenance plans without the need for a dedicated data communication link with Headquarters. ILMS' synchronization feature enables vessels to submit electronic updates of their current status to headquarters. These updates allow headquarters to retain the last known information for each vessel in order to manage them at the fleet level in an integrated and a holistic manner.

The updates also work for transferring information from headquarters to vessels. Information such as service bulletins, vessel specific communication or fleet-wide notices that headquarters might want to communicate can be entered in the system at headquarters and then uploaded to the vessels at the earliest possible moment so that the vessels are updated with the new information.
